Warren Screw Machine was founded in the 1950s and has become a leading supplier to OEM in both the hydraulic and aerospace industry. The company operated for many years as a screw machine shop; offering secondary and general machine shop work building on the virtues of cammed screw machines that produced high quality parts at cost effective prices.
Today, the company still uses the high production capabilities of screw machines, uses the latest CNC technology, does limited Gear Cutting, Honing, Lapping, Gun-drilling, Shot Peening, Glass Beading, Staking, and Part Marking – and offers a multitude of other services. Warren Screw Machine has been continuously registered with the ISO 9001 standards since 1996. Current customers include Parker, General Electric, and Safran Power.
Warren Screw Machine currently has 70 employees, and they usually hire from four to six employees per year. The general manager of Warren Screw, Jim Russell, recently attended the Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition meeting on the importance of assessments and credentials, such as WorkKeys, to manufacturers. He discussed the benefit that WorkKeys would have on their operations, explaining that this assessment would give them the ability to certify people as they are hired.
