Calling all manufacturers and educators!
The registration process for the Educator in the Manufacturing Workplace is closing on Friday, June 14th.
Educator in the Manufacturing Workplace is a program supported by the Oh-Penn Interstate Region Pathways to Competitiveness Project that gives educators “hands on” experience at a local manufacturing workplace allowing them to contextualize their subject matter with real-world examples.
Benefits to Educators:
The experience not only allows you to witness firsthand how your subject is applied, but you will also learn about the soft skills employers need.
Educators will work with an Employer host to develop a schedule for the on-site job experience, and will complete 32 hours of shadowing between June 21 and August 9, 2013.
There will be a mandatory 4-hour Orientation held – one for Ohio educators and one for Pennsylvania educators. Click the links below to learn more:
Benefits to Manufacturers:
The benefits of participating in this program as an Employer include:
impact on the education process and potential future employees, inclusion as an employer host in press releases and eNewsletter articles, and a framed certificate of participation.
