Last month, Champion High School (CHS) took a class to tour Starr Manufacturing’s facilities. Following that meeting, the CHS principal requested that Starr Manufacturing, in turn, visit the high school.
Students and staff gave tours of the high school to representatives from Starr, talked about various programs, and students asked questions about manufacturing and work in general.
Starr reps were also able to speak with students in an intro to engineering class that was learning basic skills such as statics, CAD, and basic blueprint. Teachers are planning to have this class tour Starr or another company to see their class applications first-hand.
“This is another positive outcome directly related to MVMC! After meeting these students and faculty and touring this school, we think our collective future is looking pretty bright!”
